Of all the cards that Nick sells of his work, this has proven to be one of the most popular with locals and tourists alike. It showcases the way in which many different types of driftwood co-mingle and create superstructures on beaches most exposed to the wind and hence to significant waves crashing onto the shore. This watercolour captures the luminescent aftermath of the sun disappearing behind the mountains. Despite the gold sky, evening has fallen and the density of fading light is evident in the trees both near and far, as well as on higher ground.

This painting is reproduced on a 1-1/2″ linen canvas and stretched onto a solid wooden frame with hanging system attached, and with the painting continued around the edges of the piece.
