Serenity at the Cape

Serenity at the Cape

Another defining moment in a day at the Cape is that time between mid afternoon and sunset when the sky subtly begins to register the Earth’s trajectory around the sun – the gradual approach of dusk. The sky turns a pinky peach colour, the clouds pronouncing a deep violet in contrast. Distant mountains slice into sky that is reflected in calm ripples of water. Logs taper off toward the ocean across pebbles and seaweed. And from under the boughs of a tree, we view the lighthouse, and the gentle movement of water against rocks. Painted in watercolour.

This painting is reproduced on a 1-1/2″ linen canvas and stretched onto a solid wooden frame with hanging system attached, and with the painting continued around the edges of the piece.

Prints of each painting are available on stretched canvas, poster paper or unstretched canvas. Stretched canvas prices are provided; if you would like poster paper or unstretched canvas, please contact us for a quote.
