Rain clouds move in

Rain clouds move in

This is another dramatic depiction, in watercolours, of raw coastal scenery exposed to the elements. The subject matter, the farthest corner of September Morn Beach, is overshadowed by heavy rain clouds painted in deep lavender tones. The movement of the ocean is played out using a variety of colours, with the yellow of sky also conspicuously signaled in the water. As with the “purple clouds…” painting, there is a profound density to all elements, reminding us that all is soaked through with the almost perpetual rain that falls on this part of British Columbia during certain times of the year.

This painting is reproduced on a 1-1/2″ linen canvas and stretched onto a solid wooden frame with hanging system attached, and with the painting continued around the edges of the piece.

Prints of each painting are available on stretched canvas, poster paper or unstretched canvas. Stretched canvas prices are provided; if you would like poster paper or unstretched canvas, please contact us for a quote.
