In Logs and Foamy Sea, a watercolour painting, driftwood is piled up against the cliff and all along this gorgeous beach. Across Howe Sound, flecks of low lying cloud are trapped in the trees, and ominous looking clouds pass overhead. One of those paintings where the rawness of late fall/early winter is palpable, and you can genuinely feel that bracing sea air. On days that have been preceded by prolonged rain, the entire beach echoes with the sound of the absolute deluge of rain water that cascades down the mountain, slapping hard onto the beach at the far end.
